Eliza Nikolova has Master degree in Law (1996), Master degree in Economics (1991) and she is Attorney at law at Sofia Bar Association since 1999. She has also Post-graduate qualification from International MidwestAcademy, Chicago (USA-1995), Development Law Institute (IDLI, Rome, Italy-1998), Academy of American and International Law (Texas, USA-1999), Duke University and Geneva University, (Geneva-2001). In the period of 1991-1996 Eliza Nikolova has been Chief Financial Director at Bulgarian Association for Fair Elections and Civil Rights (1991-1996) and Judicial Associate at Sofia City Court for one year in 1997. In the period of 1998-2005 Eliza Nikolova has been Legal Advisor in “Doverie United Holding” – the biggest privatization fund in Bulgaria.
In 2005 she joint Nikolov, Kalinov and Partners Law Firm (known before as Nikolova, Kanev, Kalinov) where she is managing partner now.
She is experienced with public companies listed on the Bulgarian stock exchange, participation in negotiations and completion of transactions with foreign companies and institutions, expert in the area of commercial law, insolvency, non-for-profit organizations, mediation and ADR.
Eliza Nikolova is a Certified Mediator, member of the Mediation Center at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chairperson of the Professional Association of Mediators and Executive Director of the International development law organization in Bulgaria. Eliza is a lecturer both in Bulgaria and Kazakhstan in negotiations, mediation, mediation techniques, communication. She is teaching subject Mediation and ADR in University of World and National Economy, Sofia and Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski”.
Eliza has been nominated for “Woman Lawyer of the Year” in 2015 and was awarded the prize for “Mediator of the Year” in 2016.
